Date:7/6//16

Source: BBC Knowledge

What I did:
I read up on another BBC Knowledge magazine and found an interesting article, called Shark. It is about the lifestyles and habits of sharks and misunderstandings.

What I learnt:
-There are more than 500 species of shark, all belonging to one extended family
-The largest shark is the Whale Shark, which is over 13 metres long on average
-The smallest shark is the Dwarf Lantern Shark, that can fit in the palm of your hand, and glows in the dark
-Giant Manta Rays can grow up to 7 metres across
-The Epaullate Shark on the Great Barrier Reef is the only shark that can walk, using its fins as prototype legs
